The purpose of MP3 Player is to play MP3 Encoded Music.


Mp3 encoding is a audio data compression technique that can can compress a raw audio file to 10 times lesser size without significant loss in its quality.





When files are compressed like this. we can store large number of such files in a given storage area.





Mp3 players uncompress this MP3 audio files and plays them back to head phone or ear-plug.





Now a days Most of MP3 Players are comming with USB connector.





You need a computer that is having this USB connecting facility. Connect the Mp3 Player to that computer and store songs in your computer disk or CD disk to Mp3 Player and remove and listen while you are away from your music system.





Some benifits are you will not be bored and always relaxed while you are listening to music. some players are comming with recording facility so that you can record voice and replay it where ever you are.





Cons are when you are listening to Music with high volume on drive you cant hear the horn sounding behind you.





Some doctors are telling that this may even damage you ear sensitivity. But I dont know how much truth is there.





You can use an i-pod instead of Mp3 player. I-pod is also an Mp3 player, But rather stylish and costly.


You can a small FM reciver to listen to local FM.


(some Mp3 players are comming with FM reciver also!)





Nothing you require except battery , headphones and some Mp3 songs in it.Thats it, you can listen to songs in it.





Hmm. download Your favourite songs from web store it in your PC and load them in you Mp3 player and listen where ever you are.





There is no specialised system to say that it works best with this or like that.


yes you need a general PC with the drivers required for recognizing that Player. XP claims that it has almost all drivers.


So If you have XP you need not to load any drivers.


But for I-pod You need to install I-tunes which will be supplied along with I-pod.

You should purchase if you are feeling that you are geting stressed by something and you like to listen music wher ever you are.





You should not purchase if you mostly spend you time in driving then you can use your Car player to play music. and you shouldnt not buy it if you strongly belive that It can spoil the sensitivity of your ears.





It seems that you know very little about Mp3 Players.


Go to a Mp3 Vendor and ask him to show Different mp3 players.


He will explain it in marketing point of view then you will get lot of info from him.

Look for other feature like FM reciver. (if you have FM in your area).





Look for Good sound output.





Look for Built in graphic equalizer to taylor the music according to your taste.





See that whether he is giving a driver CD with that or not If not ask him.





Ask the Vendor How to use it.
