I am planning on getting an MP3 or an iPod, and I want to know how to get songs onto it. Like my friend has an MP3 and she said to go to Windows Media Player, pop in the CD, click synchronize(sync)click on the songs, then click start sync, and its going to come onto your MP3. 2 questions:Is this the right way to get it off the CD onto an MP3, and is there another way to get songs that you don't own besides iTunes, which I hear is like a dollar a download? And for an iPod, does that apply to the iPod song thing too? I want to get one for Summer break-we're going on an overseas vacation (I'm sure, cuz I already have a toothbrush holder) and I want to know if the player will go through the terminal. OK and what would you recommend is better:an iPod, MP3, or one of those Disney Mix-Sticks you can find at Target? This is my first time owning a portable music player so...yeah. Any sort of answer will help as long as its not "dont want to read that-2 long sorry" or anything like that.
MP3 questions for the MP3 expert?
Okay DONT get an ipod as they will only cause problems later on. Now if you want free songs which means illegally then go with frostwire, its safer but just exit it as soon as you're done and the same would go with limewire and that sort of thing. Yeah you can do that about ripping and then synchronizing. BUT PLEASE DONT GET AN IPOD!!!
If you only want something to hear music and nothing else
get a sandisk m240.
Or if you want music and photos and videos then a sansa e200(2 4 6 or 8 gigs depending on how much memory you need)
Reply:Yes, that is the way to do it, but I have no idea as to how to get songs for under a dollar (or 77p here in the UK)...
I recommend an MP3 to begin with - iPods are expensive, and you have to use iTunes, which it sounds like you don't have. MP3's can also be synced on any PC.
Hope this helps!
Reply:--u can transfer any type of song, mp3 or wma, into ur ipod, as long as u have it in ur computer.
--u use the program iTune which included when u buy iPod, to transfer songs, picture, notes, files, into ur iPod. it will automatically converts the music for u and make the iPod become an external hardrive so u can put files in it.
--u can rip songs off the CD and transfer them right into the ipod or you can rip them into ur computer and then transfer into ur ipod, wutever way u like to do
--if u choose to buy music, then do it on iTune or anywhere that let u buy. after u buy it, its urs. its on ur computer. u can do wutever u want including transfer them into ur iPod
--any other mp3 player out there can do the 3 steps above
--iPod looks better than any other mp3 player. so i'd go wit iPod and i'd buy a Video iPod one, 250$, cuz there are much more space than the Nano and u can watch video on it too. trust me, ull run outta space if u buy Nano!
and dont worry too much about how to use, any kind of mp3 player out there, especially iPod, they are all user-friendly and easy to use
